Dear Editor,

You started by winning the curtain raiser to the League (community shield). People said that the trophy was then impossible because of the superstitions attached to the shield.

You silenced them and won the league. Again arguments cropped up that the premiership was below standard but you proved a point to them by winning the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) champions league.

As if that was not enough, in an attempt to clear all the doubting ‘Thomas’ you have gone ahead to win the World Club Championship.

Therefore as home champions, champions of Europe and the world, my suggestion is that Sir Alex Ferguson should get in touch with Mr Sepp Blatter to organise another tournament between planets.

I am confident that whether it’s held here on earth, Jupter, or Mars, neutral ground or any where Man Utd will again emerge as victor because it has stood the test of time, the bombshell on Old Trafford during World War 2.

Undoubtedly united we stand and it’s evident that there is only one united.
