Rwanda international Djihad Bizimana is optimistic on helping APR FC to a record seventeenth league title before joining his new Belgian side Waasland-Beveren at the end of the season.
The 21-year old holding midfielder penned a 3-year contract with his new club, with an option of a fourth, to become the most expensive Rwandan athlete. It is reported that his transfer stood at Rwf195 million (about 189,000 Euros).
"I’m happy to be turning professional after this season. I am excited for the new challenge and look forward to enjoying and improving my football level with Waasland-Beveren. But before I go, my main goal is to help APR win the championship,” Bizimana told Times Sport.
Bizimana started his career with Etincelles before joining Rayon Sports where he played two seasons and later joined APR in 2015.
