The Rwandan whiz kid, Olivier Karekezi is back in Helsingborg’s starting line-up against Dutch side SC Heerenveen in tonight’s Uefa Cup second leg qualifier. Karekezi who missed the first leg with a knee injury has plenty of work after Helsingborg 3-5 goal deficit.
A three goal margin for Helsingborg at Olympia stadium will see the side through to the second round.
In an e-mail, Karekezi told Times Sport that he has shaken off the injury and is tipped to start to night by his manager Stuart Baxter.
"I’m now fit and the team believes that it can overturn the 3-5 goal deficit to get through to the next round,” Karekezi said.
Karekezi has two goals in this year’s Uefa Cup qualifiers and five goals in the Swedish Allsvenskan league.
Elsewhere, Hamad Ndikumana is also back in Cypriot’s starting line-up for tonight’s Tottenham clash.
The central defender missed his club’s 1-6 first leg demolition after accumulating two yellow cards in previous legs against Romania’s FC Cluj.
His return is a major boost for the club after hapless going down 1-6 courtesy of Younes Kaboul, Robbie Keane, Michael Dawson, Darren Bent and Jermaine Defoe (2) in the first leg due to defensive problems. Anton Zlogar scored the consolation for Anorthosis.
