APR WFC and Forever WFC secured spots in the women's topflight division after reaching the final of the second division league.
APR WFC earned a top tier promotion after thrashing Kayonza WFC 6-2 in a two-legged semi final tie. The military won the first leg 2-1 before adding another 4-1 thumping in the second leg held on Saturday, March 9.
Meanwhile, Forever advanced to the final after defeating Nasho WFC 2-0 over two legs.
APR and Forever WFC were both pooled in Group A during the regular season. The army side qualified for the quarterfinal playoffs after finishing at the summit of the table standings with an unbeaten record, having 11 games and drawn once from 12 games.
They were drawn with Bridge WFC, who finished fourth in Group B, for the quarterfinals but the latter didn’t show up at the venue.
Meanwhile, Forever set a semifinal date with Nasho after eliminating Tiger WFC from the quarterfinals.
APR and Forever will battle in a final clash that will decide the champions of the second division league. The date for the final has not been confirmed yet.
