Teenagers thrill Kicukiro crowds

Hindurwa, a teenage band thrilled music fans at Kagarama, Kicukiro District over the weekend. Singing in their lovely voices, the group sang their best songs that worked fans filled in the New Life Bible church, at Kagarama.

"I am freeeee…, you left your kingdom,” Brian Bizimungu, a lead vocalist sang as he led his group of four vocalists jumping high as their fellow teenagers joined in and danced to the music. The show was to inspire and give hope to fellow teens and up coming gospel artistes.

"Some of us are orphans, or former streets children, that is why we are aiming at giving a hand to the young generation in need of help,” Bizimungu the band leader told The New Times.  The sing Rock, Salsa, Reggae and one that was a Ragga and Rock blend.

Hindurwa toured the USA to raise funds to sponsor children through Africa New Life Ministries.

Their name ‘Hindurwa’ means change music and speaks about how God miraculously changed their lives from hopelessness. Rising to fame, these teenagers include Brian Bizimungu the team leader, Robert Mugabe, Moses Mbona, Jean Claude Nshimiyimana and Emma Twebaze.
