Celebrated local gospel music singer and guitarist Israel Mbonyicyambu, popularly known as Mbonyi, has released details of his upcoming tour in Canada.

The announcement follows his unveiling early this month of his latest album titled, ‘Harubuzima.’ The tour, set for April 28-May 26, is aimed at promoting the album among his fans in the North American country, he said.

Mbonyi said his tour will kick off with a show in Edmonton, then Montreal and Toronto, before the last leg in Ottawa on May 26.

The tour is organised by members of the Rwandan Diaspora in Canada.

"I have a huge fan base of Rwandan and Burundian communities in Canada. They are indeed the ones who invited me and are putting everything together to ensure the tour is great and remarkable,” Mbonyi said. 

The 26-year old says he plans to thrill his fans and lift up the name of the Lord during his Canada tour.

"I am looking forward to a fantastic moment of praise and worship with my fans, and I would like to invite everyone to come and join me to spread the word of God through music,” he added. 

Mbonyi is most known for his gospel hits like ‘Intashyo’, ‘Ku marembo y’Ijuru’, ‘Sinzibagirwa’, ‘Indahiro’, ‘Ibihe’ among others.
