URUGWIRO VILLAGE - President Paul Kagame hosted an exciting end of year Government reception at Urugwiro Village gardens late Tuesday evening.

Apart from the cheerful and trendy guests, abundant refreshments, captivating performances by the national troupe’s wonderful traditional music and dance delights, the event, also drew its allure from Diogene Ntarindwa’s witty comedy act.

The slim Ntarindwa, nicknamed Atome (French for atom) because of his tiny size, was an attention-grabber but Rose Kabuye’s presence added more sparkle to the sundown event.
Looking radiant, clad in a chic celebrity-inspired emerald green dress, Kabuye just could not tire flashing her enchanting smile while making the rounds, embracing and greeting everyone including members of the press.

All this, and plausibly more, combined with the gardens’ open-air brilliant appeal, perfectly tune in with the President’s inspirational speech in which he called the event a get-together to be happy, especially rejoicing for the country’s many good achievements in the past year.

Kagame pointed out that many good things have been collectively achieved and he underscored that regarding the encountered difficulties, it was not strange since that was how life goes. He emphasised that there were many good things that were achieved but that challenges to face and work out.

The President expressed gratitude for Rwandans’ cooperation, will, resilience and courage in realizing all the good things and even combining efforts to face the difficulties.

Looking at the country’s challenging past, Kagame doubted if there could be any challenges greater than the ones in the past.

He underlined that the challenges already met were heavier and thus, in his view, Rwandans would easily triumph over those ahead.

Thanking his guest, he underlined his optimism, stating that as years go by, he has noticed even more of leaders’ courage, to which he added, amidst applause, that what has not succeeded in disorganizing them in the past cannot prevail in the future.

The event was attended by cabinet ministers and heads of institutions among other high profile guests.
