Rapper Diplomate is plotting his musical comeback with a collaboration with US-based Rwandan singer The Ben.
Diplomate Noor Fasasi, who became prominent in 2009 and the few years that followed, but went into a musical hiatus in until 2016 when he announced his return but is yet to release some serious music.
The rapper, however, is set to release his collabo with The Ben titled ‘Karibu Sana’, which is likely to announce his major return.
A behind-the-scenes video of the duo shooting the video of the song has already been uploaded on Youtube and fans of the rapper cannot wait for him to release the song.
Meanwhile, the song has been in the pipeline for a while but now in its final touches according to those in the know.
The rapper, who during his musical break has previously tried out TV and radio journalism, says the song was done by local producer Trackslayer while the video is being edited in Uganda in one of the renowned studios in the region.
In the sample which has been released, Diplomate is heard rapping in his ‘philosophical’ style while The Ben does the chorus.
Diplomate was signed to Uganda-based Kiwundo Entertainment that opened its label in Kigali last year. The singer has since released a couple of songs including ‘Angaliya’ but they did not propel him back to his former status.
