The national U19 Beach Volleyball team have started training ahead of the African Cup of Nations U19 beach volleyball tournament that will take place at Congo Loisirs complex in the Democratic Republic of Congo from April 20 -22.

Penelope Musabyimana and Valentine Munezero will represent Rwanda at the competition which will serve as a qualifier for the world beach volleyball tournament in China next year. The team is currently training at Amahoro Stadium under Coach Paul Bitok.

Musabyimana and Munezero made history last year by finishing in third place in the Commonwealth Youth Games in Nassau Bahamas.
