Second division league Pool A leaders Sorwathe continued their unbeaten run after seeing off Akagera FC 3-0 on Sunday at Kinihira grounds.

The win saw the Rulindo-based side stay on top of pool A with 46 points, seven points ahead of second placed Pepinierre FC.

Striker Emmanuel Niyitegeka scored a brace in the 28th minute and 41st minutes respectively for the hosts while Noel Habimana added a third goal in the 67th minute to make a perfect 20 wins out of 20 games.

Sorwathe coach Comrade Banamwana said " Our major target this season is promotion to topflight league, that’s why we can’t afford any mistakes.”

Elsewhere in pool A, Intare and United Stars defeated Interforce and Hope FC 1-0 respectively.

Group B matches between Rugende and Vision Jeunesse and UR against SEC were postponed due to heavy rains.
