Kwibuka24: International community on the spot
Thursday, April 12, 2018
The New Times
Hundreds of mourners on Wednesday braved the rain to make the trek from former ETO-Kicukiro (IPRC-Kigali) to Nyanza Genocide Memorial for a commemoration event in honour of the over 2000 Tutsi killed at Nyanza Hill. The event discussed how the Tutsi were abandoned by the International Community in their hour of need. Most of the victims were made to walk from ETO-Kicukiro to their death after they were abandoned by Belgian peacekeepers who were part of the UN Mission in Rwanda at the time. Sam Ngendahimana.
