Dear Editor,

Withdrawing money from  banks during the Christmas days was a nightmare in the country. Rwanda Commercial Bank with the largest branch network in the country suffered a network systems collapsed resulting into queues forming in the banking halls.

Even Automated Teller Machine points also stopped working on the Christmas eve. Some Rwandans did not enjoy Christmas because they could not access their money.

Banks should have prepared to handle the big numbers of clients this season because it is not the first time that Rwandans rush to withdraw large amounts of money during festive times.

And what hurts me most is that many colleagues who were supposed to access their December salaries from Ecobank have not received their salaries yet, they tell me that the banks top management is out on holiday.

Is this how we are going to treat Rwandans? Please banks style up.
