Jose Chameleon scoops Shs50 million in new song
Self-proclaimed music doctor Jose Chameleone can’t complain; he has enjoyed a lucrative career, churning out hit after hit for close to 20 years.
Word reaching us is that the artiste has reaped big just a month after the release of his monster single Champion.
We are told that Chameleone was on Monday announced the ‘Golden Song’ winner and won UGX50 from NBS television. Champion won after being voted the people’s favourite song, beating four other very good songs that had emerged winners from each week of the month of March.
The reward comes days after the Leone Island boss was recognised and awarded the ‘Legend’ accolade at the recent Zzina Awards in Uganda.
However, Chameleone’s biggest reason to smile right now is the birth of his daughter, born April 5 in Georgia, USA. The artiste posted a heartfelt message to his wife Daniella, and welcomed the fifth member of the Mayanja family. In the post, the artiste said both mother and baby were fine. Congratulations Jose.

Diamond warms up to baby-mama
Bongo singer Diamond Platnumz and his baby mama Hamisa Mobetto left tongues wagging after their public display of affection last weekend at the Sinama Zetu International Films Awards.
Diamond and Mobetto were sitting separately before both were called on stage to present an award to a nominee. On stage, Diamond welcomed his bashful baby-mama with a hug. He then went ahead to compliment her beauty and showered her with praises for being a good mother to his son.
His remarks were received with cheers from the audience.
At the same event, Mobetto was asked to name the best dressed man at the event, to which she replied, ‘Diamond’.
The two share a son together, but this is probably the first time they have been seen together since their infamous scandal. Their affair was the beginning of the end of Diamond’s relationship with Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan.
Now that Diamond’s relationship with Zari is over, who will the artiste date next? We are told that he also works closely with another ex, former Miss Tanzania Wema Sepetu, albeit we are not sure if it is strictly professional. We will keep our ears to the ground!
