Rafiki, 3 albums in store

We have heard that Rwanda’s self-styled Choga Style is yet to release three albums at once, come January. The release of his albums is slated for January 15, and these are: "Bagambanibagambe”, "Carikijyoshena”, including "Amani”, a remix featuring Tanzania’s Professor Jay.

The much awaited albums will be coming at the right time when Choga aka Rafiki Mazimpaka will be congratulating himself for being Rwanda’s best Afro-reggae musician, after performing with international musicians like the Brick and Lace, Sean Paul and Shaggy.

The two time Pam Awards winner, is known to have released at least two albums and two singles, including the famous ‘1, 2, 3’ as a solo singer.

Despite his busy schedule, the 25-year-old singer also famous for his hit "Igikosi” is scheduled to perform at the East African Bash from December 31 to January 1.

Where on earth are the Holy Jah Doves?

This is really sad news. Last time, we reported how of Rwanda’s once popular RnB singers Big Dom quit the music industry due in part to a lack of sponsorship and an accompanying  financial crisis.

We can now reveal that another band group, the Holy Jah Doves, is on the brink of collapse. We last heard them singing two years ago when they performed at the Petite Stade, Remera.

The Rastafarian reggae band came on the limelight three year ago, and has staged several concerts cross the country. However, it is said that the once famous group is experiencing hard financial times.

Big Dom captures attention in Nyabugogo

Artist Big Dom recently caused commotion in Nyabugogo central market, where a sea of fans flocked over him after a perceived  lengthy stay away from the game.

He had apparently gone to Nyabugogo for a shopping spree. But scouts have it that the dreaded teenager singer emerged as the client of the day.

The 26-year-old singer stormed the market in the company of his three bodyguards, who hid their eyes behind dark shades. But we also hear the singer did his best to seek attention, as it was his prayer to be recognized after the flop of his recent concert in Musanze district.
