Etoile de l&039;Est head coach Imama Kwaku Amapakabo insists club’s victory over AS Kigali is a morale booster for his side’s push for relegation safety going into the last stretch of games in the 2023/24 Primus National League.
Etoile de l’Est, who are rooted at the bottom of the league table, posted a shock 1-0 victory over high-flying AS Kigali away from home and their Nigerian gaffer maintains they can survive relegation.

"It was a tough game and most importantly we got the 3 points which gives us believe and hope in the league.," Kwaku told Times Sport.
"We have 8 games remaining; that is 24 points left to play for and trust me, we are going to fight for every point.”
"We'll play a game at a time; we needed this win to boost the team’s self-belief and confidence. That has come and we hope to build from there," he added.
The Ngoma-based club will play APR FC in a rescheduled game on Tuesday, March 5, before hosting Kiyovu Sports at Ngoma Stadium on March 12.
