Big Fizzo, Kenzo lined up for Kigali concert
Burundi’s Big Fizzo and Eddy Kenzo from Uganda were last week announced as foreign acts to grace Platini P’s 14 years in music concert slated for March 30 in Kigali.
Dubbed ‘Baba Experience’, the concert will take place at Camp Kigali, marking the celebration of Platini P’s three-year solo music journey, and an almost 14-year contribution with his former music band Dream Boys to Rwanda’s music industry.
The concert will also have local artistes on the lineup.
Mbonyi to perform in Brussels
After a small break of nearly three months, gospel singer Israel Mbonyi is back and ready to thrill his Europe-based fans once again.
This time around, the singer is heading back to Brussels, Belgium, where he had his first sold-out concert outside the country on June 11, 2023, which attracted thousands of Rwandan music lovers at Birmingham Palace.
The development was confirmed by Justin Karekezi, the brains behind Tema Production, which is popularly known for hosting the biggest African musicians in Brussels.
Rwandan models shine at Paris Fashion Week
Five Rwandan models, well-known for representing their country on international runways, were last week spotted representing top fashion brands at the ongoing Paris Fashion Week, which started on February 26 and will continue until March 5.
Ornella Umutoni, Denyse Mushikiwabo, Christine Munezero, Esther Niyirera, and Anipha Umfite led the fashion show’s runway on February 26.
This isn’t the first time the five models have appeared on a big stage. Munezero was part of Paris Fashion Week 2023, while Umutoni and others have made a name in the global fashion scene, collaborating with Prada, Elie Saab, Erdem, The Row, Officine Générale, Namacheko, and more.
‘Jugumila’ returns to streaming platforms
‘Jugumila’ by Chriss Eazy and Kevin Kade, considered some of the biggest hit makers in Rwanda, was last week brought back to major streaming platforms like YouTube a day after it was removed due to copyright issues.
