A first half double from winger Arsene Tuyisenge propelled Rayon Sports to a convincing 2-0 Primus National League win over Sunrise FC at Nyagatare Stadium on Sunday, March 3.
Rayon paraded a winsome squad with Moroccan forward Youssef Rharb showing brilliance earlier on in the game.
The visitors’ dominance yielded dividends after just eight minutes of action when Youssef set up Tuyisenge who fired past goalkeeper Didier Mfashingabo to give Rayon the lead.

Jackson Mayanja's men warmed themselves into the game after the early goal but the Blues’ back four was very compact, giving home side’s attacking duo Samson Babua and Frank Shema no chance to get into the vital area.
Rashid Kalisa, who had been efficient for Rayon in the midfield role, found Tuyisenge with a delightful touch pass and the winger made no mistake as he shot it past Mfashingabo to double Rayon’s lead before both teams headed into the half time break.
Coming back into second half, Sunrise FC threatened to come back but it was to no avail as Julien Mette’s side held their nerves at the back.
The victory saw Rayon reclaim their second place with 45 points, seven points behind leaders APR FC who also have a game in hand.
Meanwhile, Sunrise remain in 12th position with 23 points.
