Rwanda Revenue Authority defeated Bafia from Cameroon to finish fifth while hosts Ahly beat archrivals Carthage of Tunisia to win the 2018 Africa Women Volleyball Club Championships Thursday evening in Cairo, Egypt.

RRA, under Kenyan coach Dorcus Ndasaba, beat Shams 3-0 (25-21, 25-19 and 25-14). Right attacker Seraphine ‘Baby’ Mukantambara led the Rwandans with impressive 19 points, while Manuela Ruth scored 13 for the Cameroonians.

Ahly marked their name in history books with their ninth title of the women’s club championship following their exuberant 3-0 (25-9, 29-27, 25-8) hammering over Carthage on Thursday at Ahly Hall.

Revenue highlighted their ability in the match by an early dominance and Bafia lost their way early. Bafia settled at the sixth position.

Highlights of the match include incredible spikes from Mukantambara, sending a strong message that they were, from then on, truly unstoppable and won the match 3-0.

Pipeline once again proved their dominance against their local rivals Kenya Prisons in an astonishing five-set thriller 3-2 (23-25, 25-21, 25-22, 27-29, 15-11) to win in the bronze medal.
