RWANDA has jumped two slots in the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday in Zurich, Switzerland.

Amavubi, now under interim coach Vincent Mashami, after the dramatic departure of Antoine Hey, improved from 114th position last month to 112th, despite not playing a single international match during that period.

Tunisia top the African continent and rank 23rd globally, Senegal are second on the continent and 27th in the world, while the Democratic Republic of Congo are 39th on the global ranking and third in Africa.

Morocco and Egypt complete Africa’s top five.

Uganda still top the CECAFA region, and are ranked 78th worldwide, reigning CECAFA champions while Kenya are second and rank 105th globally. Sudan complete the region’s top four and 117th in global ranking, behind Rwanda.

The reigning world champions Germany maintained the top spot, followed by 5-time world champions Brazil, reigning European champions Portugal, Argentina and Belgium in that order. The 2010 world champions Spain are sixth, France (9th) while England dropped to 16th.
