RWANDA REVENUE AUTHORITY (RRA) Women Volleyball Club have been handed a tough group in the Africa Club Championships scheduled for March 6-15 in Cairo.
RRA have been drawn against hosts and record holders Ahly (8 titles), Nkumba University (Uganda), and Nyong (Cameroon).
The Rwandan side left the country on Friday night ahead of the championships while the drawing of lots for the 2018 Women’s African club championship was done on Monday.
RRA will play their first match against Nyong of Cameroon on Wednesday, and then defending champions Ahly, from Egypt, on Thursday, while the last game will be against Nkumba University from Uganda on March 10.
RRA’s best result at the continental championships came in 2016 when they reached the semi-finals before losing to defending champions Ahly of Egypt 3-0 (25-10, 25-15 and 25-9), who set up a final clash against Carthage of Tunisia.
