Live music lovers are in for a mega treat this weekend as four local bands tussle it out in the ‘Battle of Bands’ at the Kigali Marriott Hotel.

The contest, that is slated for this Saturday, March 10, will feature four prominent local bands tussling it out on one stage. In the end, the audience will select the winning outfit. The winning band will then be taken on by the hotel as the resident band.

The event, at the hotel’s Malaika Gardens, will run from 5pm to 11pm. Bands that have been lined up for the musical showdown are Neptunez Band, Micho Band, Best Beat Band, and Million Dollar Band.

Although many local hotels and hospitality establishments hire bands to play at their venues, this is the first such event where different bands compete before a live audience that then gets to choose the best band.

Entrance to the competition is Rwf5,000.
