Dear Editor,

I am not happy with the way MTN Rwanda cell does all it can to sabotage Rwandatel. Just like any other subscribers, I believe that if we have more players in the telecom sector, then, communication should only get better.

Unfortunately, MTN is the major reason why most Rwandatel subscribers are failing to make calls to their MTN Rwanda cell counterparts.

In the telecom industry, players are supposed to clear communication channels so that subscribers on whatever networks can successfully communicate with each other.

What MTN has done though, is close her doors to Rwandatel subscribers. This is not right. It should be the choice of an individual to associate with any telecom player that they like.

MTN is trying hard to paint an impression that Rwandatel is failing simply because when subscribers call MTN numbers, the tone goes "the line you are calling is busy,” and the line will be busy everyday.

However when one uses another MTN line, then the lines are not busy anymore. Surely, it is high time our telecom companies acted mature or else communication is bound to get worse with a third upcoming player in this sector.
