We are all gifted spiritually; you have one or more spiritual gifts, some you might know while others you might not have discovered them. If you find it hard knowing your spiritual gift, ask God to guide you because we shall be accountable to God on how we used the gifts he gave us.

A spiritual gift is a supernatural ability given by God to the believer for the purpose of serving.
Some of the examples of spiritual gifts include, words of wisdom, knowledge, faith, kindness, miracles, prophecy, speaking in tongues, interpreting tongues, apostleship among others.
All the spiritual gifts given to us are for God, he can decide to take them away from us if they are not used well, we should avoid pride and share our different gifts with others.1 Corinthians 12:4-6 instructs us that there are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
Though you might have a spiritual gift, you need to develop it, for example, even when you have a powerful voice that when you sing, the Holy Spirit appears, you need to improve on your singing in order to heal the sick through your mere voice. Stand with faith and expect a miracle as you minister to fellow Christians using your spiritual gift. The book of 2Timothy 1:6-7says, "Because of this I remind you to rekindle God’s gift that you possess through the laying on of my hands. For God did not give us a Spirit of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
When you get a chance to discover your talent, please use it to help others and serving God , for it is written in 1 Peter 4:10, " Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
We must use our spiritual talent to the benefit of the church, if you are a preacher, preach the word of God to all kinds of people like the broken, sick, needy, sinners so that your sermon brings hope and repentance to them, if you are an intercessor, take time to pray for the church, and if you are a prophet, prophesy for the goodness of GOD. 1Corinthians14:12 says, "So it is with you, since you are eager for gifts of the Spirit, try to excel in those that build up the church.”
Speaking in tongues is good but you need to do so to only those who understand them otherwise it makes no sense to those who cannot interpret them.1 Corinthians 14:2-4 indicates, "For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit. But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort. Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves, but the one who prophesies edifies the church.”
We must come together as members of the church for different people to share their gifts since you might have what others don’t have and they might have what you lack, this will uplift a spiritual church.1 Corinthians 14:26 states, "what then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up.”
Although some people might not be able to understand when one speaks in tongues, this does not hinder you to speak in tongues while speaking to God because He understands and it is the work of the Holy Spirit to fill you in order for you to speak in tongues. For it is written in 1Corinthians 14:39, "Therefore, my brothers and sisters, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.”
However, you shouldn’t be jealousy if a friend has a spiritual gift you don’t have; we are all gifted in different ways according to our capability, jealous is taught about inEcclesiastes 4:4, " And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.” Let us instead help one another grow our talents.
When you use your spiritual gift well, it is a form of serving God truthfully.Identifying and developing your spiritual gift needs you to be prayerful and interceding to God in order for the Holy Spirit to show you your gift, however take part in different church activities like singing, preaching and many more because it is through trying that you can know your weaknesses and polish them.
Unfortunately, some of us have neglected some gifts or feared to practice them thinking they are for just chosen people like pastors, did you know you could adopt a certain gift and use it to attract a lot of souls to the kingdom of God?, Exodus 35:10 cheers us that, "All who are skilled among you are to come and make everything the LORD has commanded.”
As it is written in the book of 1corinthians 12:14-15, "For the body does not consist of one member but of many. If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body.” What we learn from this verse is we need each other for the spiritual gifts to be useful. Healing needs faith, faith needs prayers, prayers need believing, believing needs prophecy, prophecy needs a miracle, a miracle needs the Holy Spirit, therefore these spiritual gifts are like a chain that holds one to another. For the church chain to be strong, we ought to combine all our spiritual gifts as church members but with a purpose of worshipping and serving God because He is the one that gave us the talents, so He deserves the praise.
As you nurture your talent, avoid flattering other members because they have the power to cure diseases, curse demons, speak in tongues, or prophesy and it comes to pass but rather appreciate them and continue praying for them and yourself for God to give you anointing to perform your talent to your best. No one has the power to perform miracles on their own, we all need God. Just as you learn how to walk through crawling, then take a step at a time, that is how we should develop our spiritual gifts.
