Musanze FC captain Peter Otema believes they "have looked under every stone’ to ensure that teams survival in the 2017/2018 National Football league this season as they take on Gicumbi at Ubworoherane Stadium.

Although the Northwest province based club is trailing as candidates at the third bottom of the relegation, the attacking forward says the new transfer signings will give them a vital edge.

After losing 3-2 to Rayon Sports one Wednesday, Musanze remained in 14th place with 9 points. SC Kiyovu is leading the standings with 20 points. Gicumbi is on 14t place with ten points.

"We have played only eight games so far, we still have two in hand to conclude first leg of the season, I think those will be our turning point. This is not our position in the league; I believe our togetherness and commitment will get us to the best position.”

"Some new players like striker Bogota Labama will bring fresh energy in the team we believe they will add in some new energy. This is the startup we couldn’t be in this situation if we couldn’t handle it.” Otema told this publication.

"Football has its own formula, I believe the main aim this season is to make sure we stay up and then see just how far we can push and kick on. We have got the right players and ethics to carry that on.”

With two more sides, newly promoted Miroplast FC and Espoir in the relegation zone, Otema believes there is still more time to rectify their errors made.

League action will continue with AS Kigali facing Kirehe at Kigali Stadium; Marines will face Police at Umuganda Stadium as Amagaju meet Espoir at Nyagisenyi.
