Rwanda women’s beach volleyball team, Africa’s sole representative, have started preparations for the Commonwealth Games scheduled for April 4-15.
The training started on Monday afternoon at Amahoro Stadium. Rwanda is drawn in Group C against New Zealand, Vanuatu and Singapore.

According to Christian Hatumimana, the executive secretary of the local volleyball governing body, FRVB, the team will have non-residential training from February 12 to 26 before embarking on residential camp at Rubavu from March 3 to 22.
The team of 18 athletes that will carry Rwanda’s flag will travel to Queensland, Australia on March, 24 under the head coach Christopher Mudahinyuka.
