Africa is on the move

The long-delayed winds of welcome change are finally beginning to real blow across a large part of Africa, and those foreign powers accustomed to calling the shots across that large swathe of our continent hate the idea they may soon lose the ability to serve their interests at the expense of Africans.

RE: "No amount of sabotage will stop Africa in its tracks” (The New Times, January 31).

The long-delayed winds of welcome change are finally beginning to real blow across a large part of Africa, and those foreign powers accustomed to calling the shots across that large swathe of our continent hate the idea they may soon lose the ability to serve their interests at the expense of Africans.

They will just have to adjust to their diminished condition like many other colonial powers before them.
