Take a moment and think about what would happen if you died now, would you go to heaven or hell, your actions on earth tell, but if your deeds have not been pleasing to God, how about you change and start living as though every day is your last minute on earth.
Take a moment and think about what would happen if you died now, would you go to heaven or hell, your actions on earth tell, but if your deeds have not been pleasing to God, how about you change and start living as though every day is your last minute on earth.
For the bible talks about God sending his only son to die for our sins for us to be free and pure, however after death we shall all resurrect but for those whose names are written in the book of life will live eternal life with God and the angels in heaven unfortunately those whose names will be written in the book of death will be thrown into hell in the fire that burns continuously.
John 11:25-26 says, "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” this scripture explains that when you accept Christ as your Lord and saviour and give him your whole being, however much your body dies, your soul will live forever.
When you read the bible and follow each word that is in it and reform to a better you, the kingdom of heaven is yours, you will live even after death, John 5:24states that verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
For the body is just like a box that keeps our souls, even if it dies and rots with maggots, our souls will live eternal life if only our names are written in the book of life, Matthew 10:28 says, "And fear not them who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
In many cases we have lost our loved ones and cried so painfully for quite some time wondering how life will ever be without them in our lives, but if we are sure their ways were pure on earth, we could be celebrating the life they lived instead of grieving .John 16:22 explains, "And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.”
Have you heard about the second coming of Jesus? Scripture in Revelation 16:15 teaches, "Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!” Brothers and sisters in Christ, Will Jesus find your garments as white as snow?
Your garments are your actions; will He find you fighting, quarreling, abusing, or praying? We all have to keep our actions clean because we do not know the right time Jesus will come again and since the signs talked about in the last days in the bible have started happening like false prophets and incurable diseases, therefore brethren let us ask God to forgive us our sins and start living as new creatures.
Let us follow the Ten Commandments as written in Exodus 20:12-17, like honoring our parents for our days to be many on earth, not murdering, not committing adultery, not stealing, not giving false testimony against a neighbor, not coveting your neighbors’ house or their wife or their servant or anything else that belongs to your neighbor
Heavenly kingdom needs to be worked for and accepting Christ comes with fruits, you can’t claim to have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior yet you never bear fruits.
Bearing fruits includes loving one another, giving to the needy, forgiving those who wrong you, praying, fasting, giving offertory and a tithe, respecting others and much more. The bible edifies in Proverbs 12:28, "In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death.”
Instead of pampering our bodies with expensive clothes, hair styles, and all luxury, let us rather mind about feeding our souls with God’s word so that he caters for all our needs. Corinthians 5:8 says, "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” Let us work for our second life.
The bible says that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, however if we open our lips and ask God to forgive us, even if our names were written in the book of hell, He can rub them and write them in the book of everlasting life. Romans 10:9, instructs us that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Those who believe in God should not fear death because it is through death that we shall reach heaven and our father’s house is big enough to cater for us all. John 14:1-3 states, "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
In all you do, keep in mind that you will be accountable for it on judgment day in Acts 24:15, " And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.”
We shall all rise to judgment, those who are holy and those that are stained (unholy), John 5:28-29 says, "Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.”
Revelation 1:18, "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” We ought to ask for a second chance to the one that has keys of hell and heaven.
Did you know that if you live a righteous life and bear fruits on earth, you will be rewarded by God on Judgment day? Ecclesiastes 9:5 notes, "For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.”
We should work for heavenly reward because there won’t be any death or suffering in heaven, Revelation 21:4 explains, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
The bible in Revelation 21:8 clearly says, "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” This scripture briefs us about the second death that will be more painful living in the lake of fire with Satan.
Let us put our deeds on a weighing scale, do your good deeds over weigh the bad ones? The dead cannot have a chance to repent but you who are still alive can, think about that.
