Rwanda Energy Group (REG) will face league champions Gisagara in the final of this year’s Heroes Day tournament on Wednesday at Amahoro Indoor Stadium. In the women’s category, APR will face Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA).

REG reached the final after beating University of Tourism, Technology and Business Studies (UTB) in a five sets thriller 2-3 (22-25, 25-17, 25-22, 23-25 and12-15) in the semifinal, while Gisagara overcame Kirehe in straight sets 3-0 (16-25, 19-25 and 17-25).

Gisagara finished in second place in Group B behind REG. In the group matches, REG beat APR 3-2 (22-25, 25-18, 25-21, 16-25 and 15-12), Gisagara overcame UNIK 3-0 (25-19, 25-17 and 25-17) before losing to REG 1-3 (20-25, 23-25, 30-28 and 15-25).

In other matches, APR defeated UNIK 3-1 (25-18, 25-19, 21-25 and 25-15) while Gisagara beat APR 3-1 (25-22, 20-25, 28-26 and 25-20) and REG beat UNIK 3-0 (25-07, 25-22 and 25-21).

In Group A: UTB beat KVC 3-0 (25-21, 25-13 and 25-21 ), KVC lost to IPRC-East 2-3 (25-23, 15-25, 23-25, 25-23 and 13-15), UTB lost to Kirehe 1-3 (20-25, 25-19, 21-25 and 24-26 ) while IPRC-East lost against UTB 0-3 (23-25,13-15 and 21-25 ) and Kirehe overcame KVC 3-1 (25-12,19-25,25-20 and 25-19).
