I would like to congratulate Nyamagabe District in the Southern Province upon beating other districts in the country achieving the 2008 Performance Contracts commonly known as ‘Imihigo.’

The district scored 89.1 percent topping the ten winners who were also announced at the closure of the 6th National Dialogue last week.

Northern Province’s Rulindo District emerged second with a 87.5 percent score. Nyamagabe generally also performed well in four major target areas which include good governance, judiciary, economy and social welfare.

I hope that other districts also endeavor to achieve the performance contracts.
