APR 110-77 Al Wakrah
Point guard Zion Styles scored 30 points as APR thrashed underperforming Qatari side Al Wakrah in their third warm-up match in Doha, Qatar, on Sunday, February 25.
The game is among five buildup games that the Rwandan champions, who are on a 10-day training camp in Doha, lined up as part of their ongoing preparations for the upcoming Basketball Africa League (BAL) 2024.

William Robeyns and Ntore Habimana added 17 and 13 points, respectively.
Jone Murry and Halal Saeed were Al Wakrah’s top scorers with 17 and 14 points, respectively.
The army side dominated the game from the very beginning, leading each of the quarters 26-13, 27-18, 27-21 and 30-25 to comfortably complete a double win over the Qatari side at Al Wakrah indoor Arena. The first game, held Thursday, February 22, ended 108-80 in favor of Mazen Trakh’s side.

Trakh’s men are unbeaten in their last three friendly games, having also defeated Qatari champions Al Rayyan 84-77 on Saturday.
APR will be making their debut in BAL.
They are, alongside Tunisia’s US Monastir, AS Douanes of Senegal and Nigerian Champions Rivers Hoopers, pooled in the Sahara Conference which will stage from May 4-12 in Dakar, Senegal.

The team returns to action for another friendly against Al Rayyan on Tuesday, February 27.
