Azam Rwanda Premier League side, Musanze FC have offloaded four players and signed former Amavubi striker Labama Bokota on one-year contract as the Northern Province-based club continue to beef up their squad ahead of the return of the league on February 6.
The offloaded players include strikers Frank Lomami and Ghanaian Leslie Lamptey as well as midfielder Madjaliwa Niyigena and Ismaily Uwihoreye.
Musanze FC president Placide Tuyishime said: "The players have been authorised to pursue their career elsewhere because they no longer fit in the plans of the club.”
Tuyishime also confirmed the signing of veteran forward Bokota. "We have signed him to give us our attacking options. He is a good player with vast experience in the league; we hope he will be of great importance to us.”
The Congolese, who has previously played for Rayon Sports and APR FC, said: "I am happy to return to play in Rwanda because it is my home, and I will give my best to Musanze. I am ready and still have goals in my legs.”
Musanze FC are currently in 14th place with nine points from eight matches, two less than most of the other league sides.
