Rwanda finished fourth in the tournament which ended with Uganda edging Kenya in the finals.
Rwanda team which was vying for the third/fourth position after a poor show in the preliminary round lost to Tanzania by eight wickets.
Debutants finished fourth as the best loser after failing to record any win against hosts Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania respectively.
The game against Tanzania was Rwanda’s third loss in row. Rwanda lost to Tanzania by 242 runs.
The other game which had pitted Rwanda against Kenya ended in the hosts favor. Kenya won by 330 runs while Uganda beat the debutants, Rwanda by 276 runs in the opener.
Uganda edged Kenya by 10 runs to lift the ICC/ACA East Africa women tournament title. The national women cricket team is expected to arrive in Kigali today afternoon.
