Rayon Sports striker, Prince Rudasingwa, has been discharged from hospital hours after collision with Musanze FC’s Anicet Muhire during Friday’s Primus National League game between the two side.

The young forward was rushed to Kigali University Teaching Hospital, CHUK, after colliding with Muhire in the 86th minute while battling for the ball as his side was pushing for an equalizer. Musanze eventually won the match 1-0 in what seemed to be a double blow for the Blues.

The pair fell down unconscious and needed lengthy treatment on the pitch before doctors recommended to take Rudasingwa to hospital for emergency treatment.

after doctors examined him and found that he didn't have any serious injuries from the field accident.

Club doctor Charles Mugemana told Times Sport said that Rudasingwa was discharged after scans operated by doctors indicated that the player suffered no internal injury.

"He has been discharged from the hospital at around 00:30 am and is doing well," Mugemana said in an interview on Saturday, February 24.

"The best part is that he left the hospital on his own, which is a great sign. He underwent scans and the results showed no serious head or neck injuries.”

"The doctors said that it's not really a serious problem because after the incident the brain was shaken but returned to its place, there are no other problems except for temporary dizziness and nausea,” he added.

Rudasingwa has been given a five-day break and will return to CHUK hospital after those five days for medical check-ups.

It remains unclear when he will return to full training.
