Police FC head coach Innocent Seninga has admitted that his team has "lacked coordination and consistency” in the first ten league matches of the current season.

The coach plans to address this issue before the league resumes after Amavubi return from CHAN 2018 finals.

Seninga’s team have won four, drawn three and lost three leaving them in sixth place on the league table standing with 15 points, level with fourth-placed Rayon Sports and Sunrise FC in 7th place but five points behind leaders SC Kiyovu.

Speaking to Times Sport on Tuesday, Seninga said, "We want to focus on correcting the mistakes that we made in the first ten matches, which include lack of coordination leading to losing the ball to the opposition more frequently, failing to cut off passes and create more scoring chances.”

The former Isonga FC and Etincelles’s coach added that, "Individual quality is quite fine, but the bonding and coordination, especially in the midfield and attack is still missing, we know we have to be more robust, this is what we need to seriously improve on during this break.”

"Such elements are crucial if you’re going to be consistent and challenge the best teams for trophies. We have made mistakes during matches that are really avoidable because we’re lacking proper coordination between midfield and attack,” he explained.

Seninga, who signed a new three-year contract, is under pressure to deliver not only good performances but more especially results, so far this season, the law enforcers’ side have lost against Etincelles (3-1) in the season opener, Rayon Sports (1-0) and  to Sunrise (2-1) before the break.

The drawn matches were against Miroplast FC (1-1), Mukura Victory Sports (1-1) and APR FC (0-0).

Police FC, who finished in second place in last season behind champions Rayon Sports, will next face Marines FC after the break, before they take on third-placed AS Kigali.
