Dear Editor,

With so much joy, I would like to thank the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) for the good work they have done to deliver justice.

As we struggle to forget the events of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsis, many of us believe that the strength of our people’s reconciliation will certainly be accelerated if justice against the genociders prevails.

Sentencing the former Director of Cabinet in the Ministry of Defence, Col. Theoneste Bagosora, and two other former senior Rwandan military officers to life imprisonment is such an answered prayer.

It is right that people stand to face the repercussions of their actions. In this regard therefore, we hope that the other criminals also stand to face the same music very soon because it is not fair that they move around freely while our liberators like Rose Kabuye get condemned falsely by Europeans.
