Tanzanian acclaimed bongo singer and dancer Ali Saleh Kiba, commonly known as Ali Kiba, is jetting into the country Saturday evening ahead of the annual East African Party scheduled to take place on January 1.
The concert at Amahoro National Stadium parking lot will see Ali Kiba share the stage with Ugandan songstress Sheebah Karungi. The Go Down Low songstress is expected to arrive Sunday morning.
The two East African music stars and headliners of the concert have posted videos on the social media platforms, confirming their presence and have promised concertgoers ‘real party time’ at the show.
"Kigali… are you ready? My first performance in 2018 ...Your first show in 2018!! This night is gonna be special,” Sheebah posted on Instagram.
They will be joined on stage by local artistes including Bruce Melodie, Yvan Buravan, Riderman, and the newly regrouped Tough Gang.
Sheebah is currently one of the most sought after Ugandan dancehall female artistes, with a number of singles and collaborations to her name. She was last on a Rwandan music stage in September this year, at the Runtown Experience Kigali concert, which she jointly headlined with Nigerian singer and songwriter Runtown.
Tickets are going for Rwf10,000 in the VIP section, and Rwf5,000 general stand. Tickets can be purchased at Bourbon Coffee (UTC, KCT) and MTN Centre Nyarutarama or online on Jumia.
Gates open at 4p.m.
The East African Party is organised by East African Promoters, a local Events company. The event has been staged in Kigali for the last nine years, with this being the tenth edition.
