Former Rayon Sports striker Salita Gentil Kambale will join the Tanzanian Premier League side Singida United in January from Etincelles FC, Sunday Sport understands.
Etincelles vice president, Vincent Ndaribumbye confirmed that their captain will be leaving after the two clubs agreed a $35,000 transfer fee for the DR Congo-born forward.
"We have got an offer from Singida for Kambale and I can confirm that he will leave Etincelles for Singinda next month. We have finalized everything with them,” Ndaribumbye confirmed on Saturday.
Kambale has scored three goals in 8 league matches for the 7th-placed Etincelles and has been one of the best strikers in the Rwandan league over the years.
He will become the third player from the local league to sign for Singida following Rwandan international striker Danny Usengimana and right-full back Michel Rusheshangoga, who joined from Police FC and APR FC respectively.
Kambale still had two years left on his contract with Etincelles. In 2013, Kambale won the league title with Rayon Sports under French coach, Didier Gomes da Rosa.
During the 2014/2015 season, the veteran forward signed for Musanze FC in a two-year deal but was released because of FERWAFA rule that limits the number of foreign players that start for any league team to three. Later, he joined Etincelles. He also played for SC Kiyovu.
