E.Africa Varsity Games move to Uganda
The biannual East African University Games will now be staged in Uganda, Times Sport has learnt. According to fresh reports, Tanzania initially set to host the games withdrew after six hosting institutions in Dar-es-Salaam went on strike.

The biannual East African University Games will now be staged in Uganda, Times Sport has learnt. According to fresh reports, Tanzania initially set to host the games withdrew after six hosting institutions in Dar-es-Salaam went on strike.
The games will now be held at Makerere and Kyambogo universities. Teams from the region are expected to compete in over 13 disciplines.
Patrick Ssebulinda, the secretary of the local university sports body has also highlighted that the games that were due in January have been postponed to February.
At this year’s Africa University Games that were held in Uganda early this year, National University of Rwanda (UNR) stunned the crowd when they lifted the men’s volleyball title.
