Loafers for women are just an example of footwear one can opt for despite the occasion. They are simple, light and still elegant.
The good thing about them, Anita Irabagiza, a local fashion designer at Kigali City Market, says they are versatile and one can wear them with almost everything, and still look gorgeous. For instance, she says from skinny, ripped jeans to trousers to jumpsuits or dresses of your choice, loafers can still rock.
On the other hand, Irabagiza notes that when one wants to highlight their shoes, they can wear loafers on three quarter skinny jeans.
If you are looking to be decent, she notes that one can style them with pencil skirts for a classic look.
Also, on boyfriend’s jeans, loafers look great if one is going for casual events.
Another interesting reason why women should include loafers in their closet, Jeanette Uwera, a boutique owner in Kigali, says is that one can rock in them in all seasons and still stand out.
"Rainy or hot seasons, loafers are still a good option, unlike other shoes that only work well during specific weather,” she says.
For instance, Uwera points out that a leather jacket works wonders with loafers for the casual look. Again in hot seasons, denim shorts and vest combine well with them.
To achieve a sophisticated look, Uwera says throwing on a waterfall top will be the best option.
"Floral or flared dresses with loafers can still give you a good feel to rock any occasion with confident.”
Just like sneakers, loafers too come with different colours, which gives the choice of picking the favourite colors depending on their outfit and the occasion at hand.
