Bank of Kigali on Saturday, February 17, hosted a golf dinner to celebrate the winners of the inaugural edition of BK Eclectic Challenge 2024 that concluded over the weekend.

Held at Kigali Golf Resort & Villas, the one-day golf challenge started early at 5:00am, with teams of four players competing at the 18-hole golf course.

A total of 40 teams, comprising over 150 players, took part in the tournament, showcasing their golf skills and sportsmanship.
Bank of Kigali CEO Dr. Diane Karusisi commended the participants for their performance and promised to ensure that the tournament takes place consistently/.
"I love golf and will soon start playing it myself. We take pride in being part of this sport's community, and this year, we're organizing numerous competitions to give everyone a taste of working with Bank of Kigali,” Karusisi said.
"Together, we will bring more people into this beautiful game, as we look to contribute to promoting our country at the African level and beyond."
Marcel Byusa, the President of the Golf Club that hosted the BK Electic Challenge, thanked Bank of Kigali for their contribution to the development of golf in Rwanda.
Byusa echoed Karusisi’s commitment to the growth of golf through getting more partners involved in organising more competitions, hence boosting the sport’s appeal within the golf community.
"The way we played today made it easy for everyone to participate. We are happy that Bank of Kigali collaborated with us. Four years ago, we had around 200 players, and now we're close to 700. Through partnerships and sponsors like BK, we hope to further expand the game."
BK Eclectic Challenge will be held four times this year, with the final one scheduled for September 2024.
Bank of Kigali has been recognized as the best bank in Rwanda for the third consecutive year by Global Finance, an international magazine with an experience of 35 years in financial reporting.
The banking institution is a subsidiary of BK Group which has four other subsidiaries — BK Insurance, BK TecHouse, BK Foundation and BK Capital.
