Inganzo Art Center in 8-day exhibition

An international exhibition featuring twenty-four (24) artists will take place at the Inganzo Art Center in Masaka from December 2 - 9.

An international exhibition featuring twenty-four (24) artists will take place at the Inganzo Art Center in Masaka from December 2 - 9.

Dubbed Iwacu Nyumbani, the eight -day art exhibition will start from 3p.m to 9p.m, every day. It will feature 10 young talented visual artists from Rwanda, and 14 artists from Tanzania, under the theme My art for you.

Local artists expected to participate in the event include, Crista Uwase, Paul Mugisha, Epa Binamungu, Kevin Ntwali and Jean Marie Vianney Munezero.

Binamungu, the founder of Inganzo Art Gallery, said the event will showcase the creative talent and achievements of 14 Tanzanian and 10 Rwandan painters.

The veteran visual artist added that the purpose of the project is for the artists to share experiences between the two cultures through workshops and trainings.

"Many of the Rwandan artists are so young and the project will equip them with more professional techniques through shared experiences and exhibitions,” he said.

The arts center will also host a live concert from 4 p.m - 8p.m including the opening Vernissage, which will be held by local musicians.
