Ever since Agatako, his 2016 mega collabo with Ugandan music star Jose Chameleone, born Joseph Mayanja, DJ Pius has been on a quest to broaden his musical horizon in the region and on the continent.

His latest effort to that end is Tempramido, his latest release.

On Tempramido, Pius, real name Pius Rickie Rukabuza, features Nigerian artiste MC Galaxy, and Nigerian-based Rwandan singer Neza.

Tempramido is a mid-tempo dancehall that features Kinyarwanda and Swahili verses by Neza, while Pius sings a blend of English, Luganda, with a splash of Pidgin, an English-based pidgin and creole language spoken as a lingua franca across Nigeria. The language is commonly referred to as "Pidgin” or "Broken” (pronounced "Brokin”).

Neza is a fast rising Rwandan singer, who goes by the popular stage name Neza Da songbird.

Mid last year, she was spotted by Nigerian singer and songwriter MC Galaxy, real name Udeme Udofot, who subsequently signed her to his MCG Empire, music label based in Lagos, Nigeria.

MC Galaxy is better known for the hit, Sekem, and other songs like Nek Unek featuring Davido, Go Gaga, Your Love, and Plantain among others.

Galaxy already has a string of singles with Neza, including My Baby, Slay Mama, Uranyica and Jacurb Dance.

Tempramido was produced in Lagos, Nigeria by Miconbeatz and mixed and mastered by IFX, also from Nigeria.

The song comes after DJ Pius’s latest single titled You Got It.
