Mothers who have given birth to two children since 2005 at King Faisal Hospital in Kigali were showered with gifts at the hospital grounds in Kacyiru.

This was at the 5th Annual Children’s Christmas Party, organised by the hospital management. This was to show the value and importance of having children.

"Children are a very precious gift from God. They should be treated with love, care and passion,” said one mother.

At the party, all the children with their mothers got different gifts. Girls got dolls, boys got balls and the mothers too got wrapped gifts that I could not see.

Apart from getting gifts and drinks, a delicious meal was prepared that everyone enjoyed. Children also danced to the music that played.

This children’s party was a way of appreciating all the mothers and children by the hospital.
