Tour du Rwanda: Uwizeyimana wins stage five as Areruya keeps yellow jersey

Bonaventure Uwizeyimana, riding for Rubavu based Benediction Club took Stage Five of Tour du Rwanda 2017 after riding the 93.2 km distance between Nyamata and Rwamagana in 2hrs 16 minutes and 26 seconds.

Bonaventure Uwizeyimana, riding for Rubavu based Benediction Club took Stage Five of Tour du Rwanda 2017 after riding the 93.2 km distance between Nyamata and Rwamagana in 2hrs 16 minutes and 26 seconds. 

Algerian rider Hamza Yassin came second after using 2hrs 16 minutes and 30 seconds while Edwin Avilla Venegas of Team Illuminate and Aron Debretsion of Team Eritrea arrived at the finish line third and fourth respectively.

Joseph Areruya of Dimension Data came in fifth but he keeps the yellow jersey as he's still 25 points ahead of teammate Eyob Metkel in the general classifications.

On the sixth day (Saturday) of the Tour du Rwanda, riders, will peddle from Kayonza to Kigali (86km) finishing the race at Nyamirambo's Kigali Stadium.
