Rwandan football prospect Barthasard Ndayishimiye is in Germany for a four-month Elite Program at the Bayern Munich Global Academy.
The 16-year-old left back was scouted by the Bundesliga giants while playing for Rwanda in the FC Bayern Youth Cup held in Munich in October 2023 where his outstanding performance saw him named in the team of the tournament.
Rwanda at the time finished in the fifth place as Nigeria were crowned champions.

Ndayishimiye represents Rwanda in the U18 national team and plays club football at youth club Winners.
He will be looking to use the opportunity to make the best out of his talent during his four-month stay in Germany while training with Bayern Munich’s youth teams from various age groups.
Bayern Munich became Rwanda’s tourism partner in August 2023 in an existing deal that will run until until 2028.
Through the partnership, the club is set to open the first of its kind Bayern Munich fan club in addition to building a football academy in Rwanda among other plans that the team plans in the future.
