The fourth edition of Kina Festival kicked off yesterday at Croix-Rouge, Kigali. The children’s festival is being organised by Ishyo Arts Centre, and will run until November 12.
It will also feature performances from Rwanda, Nigeria, Germany, Zimbabwe, Senegal, Burundi and DRC.
The festival aims at honing children’s creativity through high quality art workshops and exposure to performances by both children and renowned international artists.
It also brings together artists for an action packed one week of performances in theatre, dance, and music for kids from all over the country.
Ishyo Arts Centre is a member of International Performing
Arts for Young Audiences. Carole Karemera, the artistic director at Ishyo Arts Centre said the festival is well supported by parents, schools and partners, who have a niche for children’s participation in the Arts.
