Hi, I’m Gideon, 12 years old in grade 7.

 I want to share with you my basketball story. I don’t know how much you already know about the game. But let me tell you what I know about it.

Basketball is not just a game it is also a passion. It is enjoyed by millions of people around the world and in many different countries. Basketball is not gender specific; it is played by males and females, and it also not age specific. There is a name for the males basketball games, NBA, which stands for National Basketball Association and also female basketball games, WNBA, which also stands for Women National Basketball Association. These two associations are based in the USA. There is also NBA Africa, which I will tell you more about in future.

It is my dream to become a NBA player. Except for my mum and dad who always inspire and encourage me; I am also inspired and encouraged by a famous basketball player named Stephen Curry, who plays in the team Golden State Warriors. What inspires me about Stephen Curry is that when he scores he gives it all to God and I am a Christian.  Something else I love about him is that people used to discourage him at a young age about his height and I am also short, so that also inspires me that he made it despite the discouragement.
