Itel celebrated 10 years of operations on global scene on Saturday with the launch on Rwandan market of two new versions of its S series of devices - S32 and S12. The two succeed S31 and S11, respectively. The mobile telephone device vendor has been operating in Rwanda for the past five years since 2012.
Jason Zhang, the Itel country manager, said the anniversary is a "special time to celebrate with the brand’s clients for achievements registered during the last 10 years.
"We are celebrating what we achieved with our clients and partners in business in the past 10 years… We plan to produce more ‘new age’ devices that meet customer expectation in terms of service delivery and affordability. I am confident that they will continue to enjoy our products,” he added.
Itel operates in 50 countries across the globe with over 50 million mobile devices already sold only in 2016.
Zhang dedicates the growing supply of Itel’s devices on the affordability of the items on the market and good relationship with their customers while he promises to achieve much more with them in the future.
Zhang promised to work with government and keep supporting the community, saying over 2,500 students in Bugesera District have already benefited from the Itel Run with Kids Project.
During the celebrations, Itel best staff members and sales agents were awarded for promoting the brand, not only in Rwanda but also in the region.About the new devices
The S32 version has a dual selfie camera 120o selfie angle, a wide-angle and portrait lens, finger print censor to unlock the mobile in only 0.1 second time.
It also has the capacity of 1GB and 16GB internal and external storage capacity, respectively, with 8.0 mega pixels rear camera and 5.5-inch high definition screen.
The Itel S12 device has a dual front camera for selfie image experience, coming in a 5.0 IPS display. Both mobile models can be found at different shops since they were officially introduced on the local market.
