APR FC have been handed an injury boost following star striker Victor Mbaoma’s return to full training after five weeks on the sidelines.
The Nigeria international sustained a knock on his ankle during APR's 3-1 victory over Young Africans on Sunday, January 7, during the Mapinduzi Cup in Zanzibar.

Mbaoma resumed training with his teammates at Shyorongi training complex earlier this week and is likely to return to action when APR FC visits Bugesera FC in Nyamata on February 18.
During his time on the sidelines, Mbaoma missed eight games including four league games against Police FC, Etincelles FC, Musanze FC, and Sunrise. He also missed two Heroes Cup matches against Musanze FC and Police FC as well as two Peace Cup games against AS Kigali in the round of sixteen and the quarterfinal first leg match against Gasogi United.
The striker, who was named player of the month for December 2023, finished the first round of the Primus National League leading the scoring charts with 12 goals before Bugesera FC striker took advantage of the injury to overtake him, having bagged 13 goals including his hat trick against Gasogi United on Saturday, February 10.
