Relegation battling side SC Kiyovu shocked title contender Rayon Sport yesterday at Mironko grounds to record their first win of the season while league champions Atraco reclaimed the summit of the league table from APR who were held by Mukura.

Fabrice Nshuti was all the different as he scored Kiyovu’s lone goal in a 1-0 win to record the Greens first win of the campaign however the declining giants stay rooted at the bottom of the league table with 6 points from11 games played so far.

The towering striker was on target on the 74 minute to silence the Rayon following.

Rayon are third on the table with 19 points and a game in hand after their match against Kibuye was postponed on Wednesday after the Blues were involved in an accident in which four of their players were injured.

Despite a length seven minute stoppage time, Rayon Sport could not find the all important equalizer to save the day.

Ugandan import Hamis Kitagenda scored a brace as Atraco feasted on Marines 5-0 at Umuganda stadium. League’s top scorer Jean Lomami improved on his goal tally when he scored his 11th  goal of the season.

Ismail Habumugisha and Godfrey Kateregga scored the other two goals for the taxi-men.

The win took Atraco to the summit of the table standings with 24 points on goal difference ahead of APR who were held to 1-1 draw by Mukura.

Nine-time league champions went in front on 53 minute thanks to Fuadi Ndayisenga goal however it didn’t take long before Mukura got back on level terms as substitute Bodo Ndikumana got on to the score sheet on 68 minute with some bit of luck thanks to a Elias Ntaganda deflection.

Jean Jack Manu and Dunde Dunga Mukambura found the net for Amagaju as the Nyamagabe based club defeated Kibuye 2-0 in Karongi district.

Electrogaz walloped Police 4-1 at Camp Kigali while Jeunesse played to a goalless draw against AS Kigali on Friday.
